The Otonabee-Peterborough Source Protection Area is 3365 sq.km with roughly 143, 205 people. The main settlement is the City of Peterborough. Recreation is dominant in the north with agriculture and urban development in the south. There are nine municipal well systems and three municipal surface water supplies.
