The Ganaraska Region Source Protection Area is ~ 935 sq km. The Ganaraska River, Wilmot Creek, Cobourg Creek and other streams flow into Lake Ontario with a small portion draining into Rice Lake. This area has three municipal well systems and three municipal surface water supplies from Lake Ontario.
